~July 3rd~
      
      It was the day before the fourth of July festival and Sakura was sewing a decrative kimono with explosions of red, white, and blue splattered across it. She let out a ferious moan, she had stabbed herself again. Thymbols did nothing! They should all be melted down into..into, well she didn't care what they were melted into she was just hoping she could finsish the kimono before tomorrow. Suddenly there was a knock from her front door. "Coming!" She yelled as she tossed the thymbols aside letting them scatter across the floor.

      When she opened the door she found a smiling Sai. She blushed as she normally did when Sai was around her. "Hi S-sai, can I help you?"

"Hello, Sakura-chan." She blushed feriously. "I was just hoping that you would be my date for the festival tomorrow." He said without taking his eyes off of her.

"I-i...I'd love to!" She said beaming.

"Good...good." Sai said with a look of relief on his face. "I'll pick you up at 8:00 P.M." He winked at her and left.

      She closed the door, trying to catch her breath. Sai had asked her out! She started dancing around her apartment, but fell when she landed on one of the  thymbols she had let scatter across the floor. She grumbled at it as she went back to her sewing work. Working with more fervor than before, now she wanted to get it done in time for the festival, and for her date with Sai.

      Sakura was waiting nerviously for Sai to pick her up. When she heard someone knocking on her door she practically squeaked. When she opened the door she saw Sai in a black kimono. "My you look gorgeous." Sai said as he extened his arm toward Sakura which she took.

      They wondered around the festival grounds, trying to take in all the sights at once. Not long after they were there they ran into Naruto. Naruto walked up to the two with a confused look on his face. "Hey Sakura-chan! Why are you here with Sai-teme?"

      Sakura blushed. "She's with me Naruto because we are on a date." He said with an irratated smile.

Naruto's eyes went wide. "W-what? N-no way." He looked back and forth between Sai  and Sakura. "Seriously? Sakura-chan?"

"Yes, Naruto we are on a date." Sakura said as she smiled up at Sai. "He asked me yesterday."

      "O-oh, well I'll see you guys l-later." Naruto said as he turned around quickly and ran off.

"Was he crying?" Sakura asked.

"I believe so." Sai said with a worried look on his face. " I hope he isn't too depressed.

"Ya.." Sakura said staring off in the direction Naruto had ran off in.

~Naruto at ramen stand~

Naruto had run aimlessly threw the crowd until he couldn't run anymore. He spotted a ramen stand and slipped inside. "Hello Naruto." said his brother Oturan.

"O-oh. Hi Oturan!" He wipped away some few stray tear before sitting down.  Oturan gave him a supicious look but went back to making ramen. "S-so, why did Tsunade want you yesterday?" Naruto asked, trying to start a normal conversation.

"It was really pointless, she thought it was of the utmost importance that I set up this ramen stand right away, and work at it tonight." He shrugged it off as he handed Naruto a Miso ramen.

"Thanks." Naruto muttered as he slurrped the ramen down. Oturan started at him again.

"Naruto what happened?" He said with concern in his voice. He could see Naruto wipping away some new tears that wouldn't seem to stop.

"N-n-nothing!" Naruto said defensively trying to wipe the tears away. "I-i-i-i-i just got something in my..e-e-e-eye." He broke down sobbing. "Sakura is on a date with Sai!" He whailed.

Oturan came out from behind the counter to sooth his brother. "Naruto it's not the end of the world! There's plenty of other fish in the sea." He said as he patted Naruto's back. Naruto calmed down imensely. He smiled up at his brother. "See, it's not the end of the world, who knows! You might even meet a girl tonight that you like more than Sakura.

"T-thank Oturan. You always know how to calm me down." He smiled. Oturan went back behind the counter. Just then Hinata came in. She walked up to Naruto blushing feriously.

"U-uh, Naruto-kun, m-m-m-may I sit next to you?" She was fidgetting with the sleve of her lavendar kimono. Naruto looked up at her. She looked gorgeous. He was awestruck by her for a moment then stuttered out, "Y-y-yes please do!" She sat down next to him. He smiled at her, she blushed.

Just across the street in Oturan's vision was Sai and Sakura sitting on a bench. He looked back down towards Naruto and Hinata to find Naruto teasing Hinata trying to feed her ramen as she blushed feriously as she laughed. He gave a small smile and looked back up to see Sai and Sakura kissing passonitely. He gave a small chuckled and said,"Love is an emtion lots that will be in you life forever."

Naruto looked up at him, "What did you say Oturan?"

"Nothing. Goodbye Naruto, Hinata." He let out a sigh as he left from behind the counter and walked to his home.
